SNOW DAYS... and what we do about them!

Snow Days and what we do about them....
In these days of uncertain weather, we have had six "snow days" where we have had to close ÉtudEO over the last three years.
Often, the larger roads around us are fine, but our local roads are completely snow bound, and the last couple of years we have seen accidents and abandoned cars within a couple of streets of us.
For this reason , we ask that you make a point of checking the web sight on any morning when snow has fallen, to see if we are able to carry on as normal, before setting out on your journey - even if the roads around you are clear.
The web sight will be faithfully updated every time we have a meaningful snow fall, even if it is on consecutive days.
We do our best to make up the missed sessions on other days so that the children don't miss out, sometimes even lengthening a session slightly each week to make up the time by the end of the block or tagging on a day at the end.
We really don't want anyone to have a dangerous or wasted journey, so please do check before you leave.
It's a great opportunity for snowmen and sledding at home or in your local fields !

End of year performance and party

Party
Our end of year performance and party this year is on Friday the 9th of December.
The performances begin at 11.30am, with lunch followed by the party from 12.30pm til 3pm
Each of the "arts" groups decide whether they would like to show some of the kinds of things they have been working on in session. It's a great opportunity for the children to show the rest of us what they have been doing and take some well earned bows at the end !
This year, the choir, music and dance groups will be showcasing some of their favourite pieces. Instrumentalists include recorder, guitar, banjo and piano.
It's also a great opportunity for those children who might like to have a look at what a particular group is doing, without going in and trying the tasters sessions.
The end of year performances are a fabulous get together, with lots of smiley and emotional parents hugging the children and each other at the end...followed by a blow out party, with music, games and prizes as well as delicous hot and cold veggie food to share plus mince pies and mulled wine...
For anyone who has yet to meet us, it's a brilliant chance to come along for the party, to socialise with children and parents alike and just mingle, have a chat and enjoy yourselves . Why not email us to find out more, and maybe book a hot veggie lunch and let us know numbers for the party ?
